i was surfing today and found a link to a pretty good site with war coverage called the the command post. they pretty much have up to the minute (it seems) status on the war as it’s being reported from around the world. i highly suggest you check it out and bookmark it for your daily perusal.

now that i’m a movable type (mt) guy i’ve been reading a lot of articles about the system. some things i found helpful were the beginners guide to trackback, mt support forum, mt plugins directory, and this article over at oreillynet on programming mt plugins.


i’ve been prompted to start writing a few plugins of my own and i plan on posting them here when i finish them. the first few will be trivial to most people but highly useful to me. if you’d like to see a plugin made and can’t find the one you want then drop me a line, i’ll see what i can do.

in case you were wondering, and i’m sure you all were, the site is coming along nicely. i’ve imported all of the old content and categorized the entries. i’ve created the templates for most of the views except comments and search. i hope to finish those some time this week time permitting. once i finish getting the view set up i was thinking that i would import the content from wideasleep.com and learnfitness.com into this site. why? well i don’t really have time to update 3 different sites and since i would much rather have the content that interests me in one place i plan on making seanwillson.com my primary blogging domain. once converted i plan on dumping learnfitness.com and turning wideasleep.com into something else. if you know of someone interested in buying learnfitness.com from me, drop me a line.

this most current challenge is a bit behind schedule. i’ve been sick this week and have missed the last two days of workouts. we were out of town last weekend for our wedding shower so i missed workouts then as well. i’m down about 3 pounds so far in the past few weeks which is good because it’s a loss but not on track, that’s for sure.


i’m getting in my workouts during the week but i’m due for a change in routine. i recently worked out at home for a lower and an upper day and the workouts were phenomenal which i think was in a huge part due to the fact that the exercises were all different. tomorrow is a cardio day and i should have time them to work on much needed new upper and lower body routines. that will definitely help rise me out of this plateau and enter these next few weeks before my wedding with some serious steam.


my eating is going suprisingly good. i’ve been continuing the practice of making a sandwich for lunch and doing a shake for my first meal of the day. i’ve been trying to wait a little longer when eating the shake because i was only waiting about 30-40 minutes before which is short of the prescribed 60 minutes. anyhow, i’ve been trying to wait that 60 minutes now. my meals on friday night and sunday need some work but really aren’t that bad. i think sunday needs less work than friday evening. i prefer to finish the week out on a very solid note leading into a free day.


since i’ve been sick the past few days i’ve been trying to recuperate which in itself is actually a good thing. i think i may have been getting burned out by exercising the past 17 weeks straight. i do feel that urge now that it’s been a few days though. you know that urge to get your blood flowing and really get a great workout in? i’m sure i’ll be fulfilling that urge soon.

new and improved

you probably won’t notice it but i changed my content management system. i was previously using blogger pro and have spent the past few days converting all of my data over to movabletype. i went from someone else managing and storing my data, comments, and everything else to now owning and managing everything. i had to massage the data a bit but once it was clean and semi usable i decided it was good enough for a first pass.


look for a new commenting system, categories for each posting, better searching, and tons of other cool features like better rss support, archiving, templates, and many other features. i’ll enable a lot of these features once i get the site back to it’s original form. looks for more changes in the near future.

i’m having a great week so far. i’ve hit all of my workouts with great intensity and i’ve eaten well to boot. i had one meal out with friends on sunday, but it was mediterranean so it wasn’t really that bad. ya gotta love rice, chicken, hummus, and pittas. anyhow, my other meals have been spot on and i’m looking forward to finishing out the week on a high note. we have the wedding shower this weekend so i know i won’t be eating all that well.


i need to work on are getting to bed earlier. i’ve been feeling pretty drained in the morning and have have come close to falling asleep each day on the train. i’m aiming for 9:30 if all goes well.
