i forgot to post this but last weekend elliot gave birth to another set of babies. this time around she had six babies but one was lost a few days after birth. i just posted some pictures of them that i took tonight. notice that we now have an albino hamster, it is so cute. we also ended up with quintuplet brown/black ones that were cute as well.

here are a few pictures of the second batch of babies that elliot had. in these pictures they are about 10 days old.

climbing elliot (144k), which one’s the treat? (156k), whitey + four (154k), are those feet growing from my back? (140k)

just thought i would remind everyone about our wedding website in case you hadn’t seen it already. i’ve been trying to keep it updated as things happen, for my friends and family that are interested. the big day is rapidly approaching and i can’t wait to just be married already … hehehehe.

new shelving

miscellaneous no comments »

amy and i decided to bite the bullet this weekend and finally buy some new book shelves. i’ve had my books in boxes since i moved in and we’re getting kind of tired of seeing tropicana advertisements in our loft. amy will also be needing someplace to put her school books and her other books when she moves in. anyhow, we dropped into room and board and decided on these gallery leaning shelves that are made from natural and stainless steel and the wood is recycled fur from old buildings like the sears roebuck warehouse in chicago. we didn’t know it at first but amy did notice some knots in the wood. it really does add a unique character to the shelves with the clean metal lines and then the rehabbed fur wood, i’m really looking forward to getting them soon. we decided on two natural steel shelves for the loft area (to match my desk) and one stainless steel for her office (to match her desk). yes, i have more books so it’s fair that i got one more shelve.

telescope filters

orion telescopes is having a sale on their various filters. they’re also lowering the prices permanently on a few filters as well. anyhow, i decided it was time to start putting my accessories together for my soon to arrive telescope, so i picked a few up. i decided on the 1.25” moon filter, 1.25” skyglow broadband filter, 1.25” ultrablock narrowband filter, and the 1.25” starter set of four color filters. filters allow you to reduce or eliminate certain wavelengths of light from planets, nebula, and other night sky objects. this allows you to extract out details you might not have been able to see. for a much more detailed explanation check out the use of filters.

well this week kind of fell apart on thursday. it luckily only propagated into my meals and not my workouts, although i did miss my workout on wednesday. i did have good reason for missing it though, i was at various doctor’s all day. i haven’t been to a doctor or a dentist in years and figured it was about time i took advantage of the insurance i’ve been paying into for years. anyhow, my meals have been out of wack ever since. needless to say tomorrow morning i am planning on getting back on track and rocking the house. i will just write off week two and move on to week three. i don’t think i gained anything but i certainly didn’t lose anything either. look for the next few weeks to be rock solid with focus and intensity. i now have to play catchup, which i’m actually fairly good at. wish me luck!!!

this week’s program has started decently. i missed my workout on sunday but replaced it with an entire afternoon, 3-4 hours, of cleaning the house. that in itself is a workout if you asked for my opinion. i’ve done really well in my other workouts despite being very tired in the morning. i have to work on getting to bed earlier, that’s for sure. i think i’m going to try and revamp my lower body workout again. it’s not quite giving me the bang i usually get.

my meals have been going good. i’ve replaced my 3rd meal (i.e. lunch) with a sandwich made in the morning and brought into work. i was normally going to the cafe or a local fast food place that had healthy food. not only was that a drain on the pocket book but it wasn’t as healthy as it could have been. now i have a nice sandwich with plenty of good stuff on it. amy’s made it for me the last few mornings but i’ll be doing it starting tomorrow. i do like my turkey sandwiches.

my new phone

well not quite yet, but as soon as it’s available i think it looks like the one for me. sony ericsson released the new t610 today. it has blue tooth, a built in camera, java, a big display, polyphonic ringtones, gprs, and supports synchronization (insert isynch here). it’s part of my goal to move toward a mac based lifestyle in case you were wondering why isynch would be important to me. about the time this makes it to market i’ll likely be starting down the road to getting a powerbook laptop computer. anyhow, the phone look sweet and has everything i’ve wanted out of a cellular phone with the added bonus of looking sweet.
