Some students from Yale used a telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory to capture a series of still images of asteroid 2002 NY40 this past week. Here’s the official press release and here’s the images as a QuickTime movie. Asteroid 2002 NY40 is so famous it made the Astronomy Picture of the Day on August 17th.
