Beacon release day is finally here. After scratching my first outline notes on December 11th, 2020 and writing the first chapter in February 2021, Dark Nebula: Beacon is ready for readers. WOOT! This fourth book of the Dark Nebula series catches up with all of your favorite characters and follows them after their revelations in the Lupus Dark Nebula from Discovery.
It follows Abigail on her rise out of her coma into a world where she’s been related to being unnecessary. Her brothers Zachary and Bradley and neck deep into a pivotal mission, preparing for humanity’s biggest battle. We pick up with Lync as we learn more about her backstory and watch her further struggle with her place in the universe after her revelations in Generations. You also get to follow Admiral Nguyễn, the Admiral we love to hate on his path to defending Sol.
This book is my longest to date. So far the word counts for each book come in as follows:
- Book 0: Contact (FREE) – 22,674 words
- Book 1: Isolation – 135,641 words
- Book 2: Discovery – 125,451 words
- Book 3: Generations – 132,478 words
- Book 4: Beacon – 183,707 words!!!
- Book 5: Graveyard – Coming soon…
It was a labor of love, and despite my efforts to cut chapters, every time I did, it felt like it was missing something. Rather than fight it, I left them and just made sure they were as refined as possible. My Beta readers, Editor, and Proof Reader helped me with all of that.
If you’ve been waiting for Book 4, then here it is. Beacon!!!
