I can’t believe it’s already here. It seems like only yesterday I started writing these books. I know in reality it was over five years ago, but life moves at light speed sometimes, especially in these pandemic-times. This past year has been extremely productive for my writing primarily due to me having given up television. It’s mind-blowing how much of a time sink that was.
So, I’m about to embark on releasing my book series and first up for a cover is my Dark Nebula: Contact FREE novella. I released it for download a little over a month ago here on the site and on StoryOrigin. I didn’t post a blog entry because the cover wasn’t ready and members of my newsletter get early access to everything.
Anyhow, here’s the cover in all its glory Dark Nebula glory.
It’s beautiful, isn’t it? Tom Edwards Design really captured the emotion of the Galactic Alliance arrival in Sol. The colors, asteroids, and details on the ships are perfect. You can even imagine the three alien starships on the top are still in the process of arriving through their FTL bubble. Those human ships are unfortunately in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I particularly enjoy the series font that we chose and how it wraps around the book title. This effect will be carried over on each of the series covers as well as the spine of the book if you happen to order print copies (available soon). I’ve always enjoyed wrap around covers, and on most of my novels I’m planning similar effects.
If you’re interested in reading the Dark Nebula: Contact novella, you can subscribe to my newsletter and within seconds you’ll receive an email with download instructions to install it on your eReader. Thanks for reading. I should have another blog post coming soon around the cover and release dates for Dark Nebula: Isolation, Book 1 in the new series.
