I hope this update finds you well. As we reach the end of week one of this Kickstarter journey, I’m thrilled to bring you some exciting news that’s sure to add more color and depth to your Drowning Earth experience!
🎉 Cover Art Finalized! 🎉
I’m beyond excited to reveal the final designs for Drowning Earth’s dust jacket and case laminate covers, meticulously crafted by the incredibly talented Tom Edwards. These covers are not just book protectors—they’re works of art that encapsulate the essence of the gripping story that lies within.

Above is a mockup of what you’ll receive if you backed at the Captain tier or higher. Below is a look at what you’ll receive in the Lieutenant Commander and Commander tiers.

Why These Covers Are Special
Each design is a blend of military sci-fi realism and intriguing fantasy—a vivid snapshot of the world you’re about to dive into. The attention to detail and craftsmanship by Tom will make these editions a standout piece on any bookshelf.
Week 1 Summary
First off, my Kickstarter for Drowning Earth has a little over two weeks left before it ends. In this first week, we reached our initial funding target, and now we’re moving on to our first stretch goal. Once we reach $1,500 in backers, all backers at every levels above Sub-Lieutenant will also receive the ebook for free. That means anyone who backs at any physical book level (paperback or hardcover) will also receive the ebook free of charge.
What’s Next?
If you’re as excited as I am about these covers and the story inside, please consider backing my Kickstarter and sharing our campaign with your friends and family on social media. The more the merrier!
