How to Safelist an Email

Gmail

To add my newsletter to your Contacts:

  1. Open my newsletter email in your inbox
  2. Hold your cursor over the “From” address
  3. Select the “Add to Contacts” icon

If the newsletter ends up in your Spam folder:

  1. Open my newsletter email in spam
  2. Click the “Report not spam” button
  3. Return to your inbox to read the newsletter
  4. Repeat the steps above to add my newsletter to your contacts

 


 

Apple Mail on iOS or iPadOS

To add the sender to your Contacts:

  1. Select the newsletter to open it
  2. Tap the From address
  3. Tap the address again
  4. Choose “Create New Contact”
  5. Enter my FIRST and LAST name and Press Done

If the newsletter ends up in your Junk folder:

  1. Select the email to open it
  2. Carefully swipe right to left to bring up the More menu and tap it
  3. Select “Move to Inbox”
  4. Repeat steps above to add to Contacts

 


 

Apple Mail on macOS

To add the sender to your Contacts:

  1. Select the newsletter to open it
  2. Press the From address
  3. Select the arrow next to the From
  4. Choose “Add to Contacts”
  5. Press Done

If the newsletter ends up in your Junk folder:

  1. Select the email to open it
  2. Press the arrow at the bottom
  3. Select “Mark as Not Junk”

If those options aren’t available:

  1. Select the email to open it
  2. Right click on the message to bring up the menu
  3. Select “Move to Inbox”
  4. Repeat steps above to add to Contacts

 


 

Yahoo!

To add my newsletter to your Contacts:

  1. Open my newsletter email in your inbox
  2. Hold your cursor over the “From” address
  3. Select “Add to contacts”
  4. Select “Save”

If the newsletter ends up in your Spam folder:

  1. Open my newsletter email in spam
  2. Then click “Not Spam” from the toolbar
  3. Return to your inbox to read the newsletter
  4. Repeat the steps above to add my newsletter to your contacts

 


 

Outlook

To add the sender to your Safe Senders List:

  1. Select the newsletter to open it
  2. On the Message tab, select Junk > Never Block Sender

If the newsletter ends up in your Junk Email folder:

  1. Select the newsletter to open it
  2. On the Message tab, select Report Message > Not Junk
  3. If a “Report as not junk?” popup appears, select Report
  4. Back on the Message tab, select Junk > Never Block Sender

 


 

Outlook (Office 365)

To add the sender to your Contacts:

  1. Select the newsletter to open it
  2. Rest your cursor over the From address
  3. Select “More Options” (three dots)
  4. Click “Add to Contacts” then Create

If the newsletter ends up in your Junk Email folder:

  1. Select the newsletter to open it
  2. Press “Not Junk” > “Not Junk”
  3. Press the “Report” button to “Report as Not Junk”

 


 

Samsung Mail

To add the sender to your Contacts:

  1. Select the newsletter to open it
  2. Press the From address
  3. Select “Add to contacts”
  4. Click “Create Contact” then “Save”

If the newsletter ends up in your Spam folder:

  1. Select the newsletter to open it
  2. Press “More options” (three dots)
  3. Select “Remove from Spam”

 


 

Thunderbird

To add the sender to your Address Book:

  1. Select the newsletter to open it
  2. Click the From address
  3. Select “Add to Address Book”

If the newsletter ends up in your Spam folder:

  1. Select the newsletter to open it
  2. Press “Junk”
  3. Then select the “Not Junk” button

 


 

AOL Webmail

To add the sender to your Contacts:

  1. Select the newsletter to open it
  2. Click on the From address
  3. Select “Add Contact”
  4. Enter a value in the First Name and Last Name fields
  5. Click the “Add Contact” button to save.

If the newsletter ends up in your Spam folder:

  1. Select the newsletter to open it
  2. Click the OK (“Not Spam”) button.
